Stuck in the middle with You

Various folks have blogged on David Cameron’s favourite Bible passage, and the comments that this is the “central message” of the Bible. I did enjoy Archdruid Eileen’s viewpoint.

I suppose it isn’t a definitive answer, but apparently someone asked Jesus what the central message of the Bible is. Or at least, the greatest commandment.

I shouldn’t like to argue.

  1. Well the way I read it the *intent* is to say "knowing about christianity is great".But I read it as a more general message that knowledge is very valuable and powerful in all sorts of good ways.

  2. Bertrand Russell, who of course was no particular friend of Christianity, nevertheless claimed a favourite Bible verse, Exodus 23:2: "thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil". (The relevance of this to the original post will be left undefined herein.)
